Terms of Sale

1. Who we are

These terms are between you ("you") and Solved Publications, a sole trader established in Jersey, with its principal place of business at The White House, 1–2 Hilgrove Street, St Helier, Jersey JE2 4SL ("we", "us", "the Publisher"). You can contact us at support@solved-publications.com.

2. Who sells you the product

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

That means:

Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights or your rights against Paddle.

3. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to download and read a digital book (an eBook), not a physical product and not a subscription.

Each product page states the title, edition, format, file type and page count at the time of sale. The book is supplied as a PDF.

Where an order includes more than one item — for example the core book and the optional workbook offered at checkout — each item is listed separately on the order and is licensed on these same terms.

4. Price, currency and tax

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and are the price you pay. Where VAT or sales tax applies to your order, it is calculated by Paddle at checkout based on your location and shown before you pay. Paddle is the merchant of record for tax purposes.

We do not add fees at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency conversion or cross-border charges, which are outside our control.

5. Delivery

  1. On a completed order, Paddle confirms the payment and we email a download link to the address you gave at checkout.
  2. The link is personal to you, valid for 30 days, and allows up to 10 downloads.
  3. If the link expires or the email does not arrive, use the recovery page at solved-publications.com/recover — it re-sends links for orders on that email address. To prevent disclosure of who has bought what, that page always gives the same answer whether or not an order exists.
  4. We do not promise indefinite access. Save the file somewhere you control. The file stays available for re-download through the recovery page for 12 months after purchase, but the licence and the link are as described here, not a "lifetime" promise.
  5. Delivery is normally immediate. If it fails for a technical reason, contact us and we will fix it or refund you. Refunds can be requested within 14 days of purchase — see §7.

6. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and read the book for your own private, non-commercial use.

You may:

You may not:

Each copy is stamped with the email address and order reference of the buyer. This is a deterrent and it identifies the source of a shared copy. It is not a claim that the file cannot be copied — no download can promise that.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Paddle. The policy, including how to request one and the statutory rights that apply, is in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. What the book is — and is not

The books are educational. They explain what published research and expert opinion suggest, and how the ideas can be applied.

They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. We do not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and we make no guarantee of any outcome. If you are concerned about your own or someone else's health, consult a qualified professional.

Every book lists the works consulted. The authors and institutions cited have not reviewed, approved or endorsed the book, and are not affiliated with us.

9. Acceptable use of the site

You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to access another buyer's downloads, no scraping the catalogue at a rate that degrades service, no interfering with security, and no using the site to break the law.

10. Our responsibility to you

  1. We will supply the book with reasonable skill and care and in the format described.
  2. If the file is corrupt, the wrong file, or materially not as described, tell us and we will replace it or arrange a refund through Paddle.
  3. We are not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, or for business losses (these books are sold for private use).
  4. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
  5. Subject to point 4, our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

11. Complaints and disputes

Write to support@solved-publications.com with your order reference. We aim to reply within 5 business days.

If we cannot resolve a complaint, you may be able to use a consumer dispute-resolution body in Jersey. This does not affect your right to go to court.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you bought. We will show the version and date at the top of this page.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Jersey, and the courts of Jersey have jurisdiction — except that, if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
